Bridgend Council’s Cabinet is set to approve a partnership agreement with Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board to provide professional training to staff working with residents with dementia (pdf).
A previous agreement ended in March 2025, but the health board continued to provide training under the previous terms and conditions.
Officers believe this training has provided value for money. It has also enabled staff working in health and social care to improve their understanding and skills.
Subject to approval, the partnership begins in April 2026 and will run for three years. Funding has already been included in the relevant budgets, and it’s expected to l cost BCBC just under £61,000 across the three years.
