Cymru Premier side, Penybont FC, has submitted a planning application to build a new Community & Performance Hub at the DragonBet Stadium in Bryntirion.
The new hub would be built next to the main grandstand.
The proposed building would include new permanent toilets for supporters, accessible from the outside.
At the moment, supporters use portable toilets – though the accompanying planning statement says that women and disabled supporters often have to use facilities in the main clubhouse.
Inside the hub, additional men’s and women’s toilets would be located on the ground floor. The ground floor would also include a classroom, as well as a conditioning/fitness area.
This would be used by the men’s and women’s teams as well as the club’s Academy sides (the Academy currently undertakes some conditioning training at Bridgend College’s Pencoed campus).
On the first floor – accessible by lift – there would be additional men’s, women’s and disabled toilets, as well as a community activity room. The community room would open onto a balcony overlooking the pitch.
