Network Rail has submitted a planning application on behalf of Transport for Wales to provide improved facilities for disabled passengers at Bridgend railway station.
Subject to planning permission and listed building consent, three new Passenger Assist Meeting Points (PAMPs) will be provided on the main concourse (platform 1), and both inside (pictured above) and outside the waiting room on platform 2.
The meeting points are dedicated waiting areas for passengers who ask for extra help when travelling by train. Designated seating, electric wheelchair charging points and hand sanitisers will be installed as part of the project.
The accompanying report says Transport for Wales is rolling PAMPs out at seven stations.
