Church Village-based developer, Lewis Homes, has submitted a planning application for a housing development (provisionally named “Parc Gwenllian”) on land to the south of Pont Rhyd-y-Cyff in the Llynfi Valley.
The land – located directly opposite Ysgol Gyfyn Llangynwyd – has been earmarked for up to 102 homes in the recently approved Local Development Plan.
Two other, much larger, parcels of land to the south of the village have also been earmarked for housing in the LDP – though this is the first planning application submitted to date.
The planning application is for 73 homes, 11 of which would be affordable.
The affordable element would include 9 one-bedroom flats in a single block, as well as 2 two-bedroom homes.
The remainder would consist of 14 two-bedroom homes, 32 three-bedroom homes and 16 four-bedroom homes.
