As you probably remember, a few months ago a planning application was submitted to reopen Hobos at the former fire station on Derwen Road in Bridgend town centre.
While there’s no update on that yet, in the last few weeks a separate application has been submitted to renovate part of the Windsor Buildings – which housed the former Hobos – on Queen Street.
The proposal seeks to convert a former tanning salon into a ground-floor cafe/bar, with additional nightclub and bar space provided on the first floor. The new venue is called “Outcasts” in the application.
Toilets will be provided on the ground and first floors, with a new emergency exit and fire escape steps provided to the rear of the building from the first floor.
