A £350,000 project beginning today (Monday 12th September 2022) to resurface Junction 36 of the M4 (Sarn) will involve rolling closures to slip roads, the main north-south bridge and both roundabouts.
“We are hugely grateful for ongoing investment into the crucial highway network in Bridgend County Borough.
“For some time, we have been liaising with local businesses, as well as the Welsh Government representatives (SWTRA), due to the closure of the M4 slip roads at certain times, with the hope of limiting disruption for all concerned. We apologise for any temporary delays and ask drivers for their understanding and patience during this time.”
– Cabinet Member for Communities, Cllr. John Spanswick (Lab, Brackla West Central).
The work will take place between 11pm – 5 am on Monday-Friday (so there’ll be no weekend works). However, some lane closures are expected to be put in place each night from 8 pm. The work is expected to last for at least 11 nights.
There will be a signed diversionary route, with drivers warned of delays.
