A consultation on proposals to extend an existing social housing development in Brackla is open until July 9th 2019.
The pre-planning application consultation is being undertaken by LRM Planning on behalf of Wales & West Housing. Full details are available here.
The proposals are to build 29 homes to the south of Clos Tan-y-Fron and Clos Tan-y-Cefn on land next to the south Wales mainline. The development would consist of six 1-bedroom apartments, two 4-bedroom homes and twenty-one 2-bedroom homes and would be accessed off Clos Tan-y-Fron.
It’s worth stressing that this is a pre-planning consultation and no formal planning application has been submitted yet.
Though there have been local suggestions that the land could be used as allotments, the land has already been submitted as a candidate site for residential development in the new local development plan.
The proposed development is also to the west of the proposed site for Brackla station and wouldn’t affect that (if anything happens there at all).
