McArthur Glen has submitted a planning application for an extension to Bridgend Designer Outlet at Sarn.
The extension would be built in the existing car parking area directly opposite the Next outlet. The plans include 8 standard-sized 170 sqm units, alongside a larger 640 sqm unit which could include a mezzanine floor.
The areas in front of the units would be landscaped with extra seating areas and trees.
To compensate for the loss of parking spaces, a new parking deck would be built above the overflow car park to the west of the outlet. This would include lift access and a walkway/bridge to the outlet.
