Bridgend Council has launched its annual “Shaping Bridgend’s Future” budget consultation exercise.

The details of the draft budget for 2024-25 were published last week – full details here.

As things stand, BCBC is seeking to find £16million in savings and cuts, while council tax is set to increase by 9.5%.

The consultation seeks views on which services you would like to protect and which services you would accept some cuts or savings in. It also asks for views on some specific options such as reviewing council department staffing and use of buildings.

You can also give reasons why you may oppose some options.

The consultation is open until February 4th 2024. All of the details – and a way to respond online – are available here.
