Bridgend Council’s Cabinet will discuss approving a Welsh Government business rates relief scheme for the food and hospitality sector (pdf).
Businesses serving food to the public can apply for a 15% discount on their business rates. The report says that this relief covers bars, pubs, restaurants, cafes and live music venues.
The maximum amount a single business can claim as a discount across all of its properties in Wales is capped at £110,000.
BCBC estimates that 142 businesses in the county would be eligible for the rate relief.
