The UK goes to the polls next week to elect a new circus Parliament.
As you’ll know, the number of MPs from Wales has been cut from 40 to 32 resulting in the Westminster constituency boundaries being changed.
Bridgend County will now be covered by three constituencies instead of the previous two.
Also, as part of the UK Government’s quest to suppress votes and find problems that don’t need fixing, you’ll need a valid photo ID to vote in person on the day. The full list of acceptable IDs is available here.

Summary & Prospects
Another safe Labour seat, Chris Bryant being the incumbent for the former Rhondda constituency.
Much like Maesteg in Aberafan Maesteg, the “Ogmore” bit (the Ogmore and Garw valleys) is likely to end up being the poor relation here.
Plaid Cymru is likely to finish a distant second and maybe that will prompt them to put more effort into the Ogmore and Garw Valleys with a view to future Senedd elections, as the new Senedd constituencies are set to be based on the revised Westminster ones.
There could be a big Reform vote too as the Valleys have seemingly been targeted by them.
