With the school summer holidays fast approaching, Bridgend Council has announced its programme to ensure children eligible for free school meals continue to be covered for the six-week break.
Three £39 digital vouchers – each covering a two-week period – will be sent out to eligible parents via email. The vouchers will be redeemable at PayPoint outlets. You can find your nearest PayPoint outlet here.
Eligible parents have therefore been asked to check their spam/junk email folder. The full details from Bridgend Council are available here.
Longer-term, as part of a Senedd agreement between Plaid Cymru and Labour, free school meals will be provided to all primary school pupils by the end of the 2023-24 academic year, with the roll-out set to start in September 2022.
