Bridgend Council has hired an additional two maintenance staff to help maintain 14 cemeteries in the county.
There have been complaints – reported back in the spring – about a long-standing maintenance backlog at the extension to Maesteg cemetery.
“Our cemeteries team have worked throughout the coronavirus pandemic to support grieving families during some extremely challenging situations.
“They continue to play an important role within the community, and I would like to offer the new members of the team a warm welcome.”
