Sunday rail services between Maesteg and Cardiff Central are set to start tomorrow morning (15th December 2019) following the introduction of a new timetable by Transport for Wales.
In total there’ll be 15 services on Sundays – roughly every two hours – outlined below with the full timetable available here (pdf):
More modern trains are set to be introduced for Maesteg rail services imminently, while the Welsh Government said in October that a technical report on the introduction of half-hourly services on the Maesteg line – namely a passing loop at Tondu – is with them for further consideration.
