Ahead of the debate and vote on Bridgend council’s budget for 2019-20, the full details of what next year’s council tax bills will be have been released – including the precepts of town & community councils (pdf).
Community council precepts are set to rise, on average, by 4.3%. Of course, how much you pay will depend on which community council area you live in as they each set their own precepts.
The five highest precepts are Bridgend Town (£94.24), Maesteg Town (£60.00), Cefn Cribwr (£55.03), Llangynwyd Middle (£53.50) and Porthcawl Town (£52.29).
The five lowest precepts are St Brides Minor (£25.61), Coity Higher (£25.66), Newcastle Higher (£25.78), Coychurch Higher (£30.49) and Merthyr Mawr (£32.54).
