South Wales Police Federation have submitted proposals to redevelop the former police station in Pencoed.
The former police station currently is and will remain the Federation’s offices. The plans propose remodelling the interior and building a rear extension to improve the welfare facilities for officers. The application proposes extra office facilities, new meeting rooms, a tea room, accessible toilet and showers, as well as a new lift between the ground and first floor.
The accompanying planning statement says the offices will remain “discrete with limited staff numbers” and all signage hinting at its former use as a police station will be removed (as it won’t be open to the public).
